Reformer Class Levels Explained

Gentle Flow

This class is suitable during all trimesters in pregnancy.

 

Soft, supportive, and oh-so-soothing. This class is designed for those who need a little extra care - whether you’re pre or postnatal, recovering from injury, or simply looking for a slower, more mindful pace. It’s also a perfect choice for older adults who benefit from more attention and gentle guidance.

 

Expect flowing, low-impact movements that focus on mobility, breath, alignment, and control - all while building strength in the most nurturing way.

 

At Balance, we pride ourselves on offering thoughtful, inclusive classes — and Gentle Flow is no exception. You’ll be in safe hands, with instructors who genuinely care.

 

No prior Pilates experience is required. 

Classic

Where it all begins — and for many, where it stays. This class is perfect for beginners and those brushing up on their Pilates foundations. You’ll learn the core principles while still getting a full-body workout that leaves you feeling stronger, and more balanced.

 

It’s a great place to start, but don’t be fooled - Classic doesn’t mean easy. It’s thoughtful, powerful, and oh-so-effective. Whether you’re new to the Reformer or a loyal regular who loves the burn without the chaos, this one’s got your back (and glutes, and abs).

 

We understand that some participants choose beginner classes because the timings suit rather than their level. If you prefer a more of a challenge, please let your instructor know. They will be happy to provide options to make movements more challenging and tailored to your abilities.

 

If you have injuries or health concerns, please make your instructor aware so we can accommodate you.

Sculpt 

Think of this one as your glow-up class. Designed to help you build on your Pilates progress — or maintain those hard-earned gains — Sculpt gives you a gentle nudge into deeper strength and more focused movement. It’s a step up from the basics, but still totally accessible for all levels.

 

Expect thoughtful challenges, extra core work, and those sneaky little sequences that make your muscles sing (in the best way). It’s strong, supportive, and full of feel-good fire — all delivered with the signature Balance care and attention.

 

Because getting stronger doesn’t have to mean getting smashed. Just sculpted.

 

If you have injuries or concerns, please inform your instructor so appropriate accommodations can be made.

Challenge

For our confident clients who are ready to push things further — this class is where the magic happens. It’s designed to challenge your strength, precision, and stamina with a little extra spice and a whole lot of satisfaction.

 

Expect creative combos, quicker transitions, and instructors who keep things moving while still giving you the attention you need. It’s tough, but always thoughtful - never chaotic, always curated (because this is Balance, after all).

Strength

Ready to turn things up a notch? This class brings the heat with less stretching and more power moves, perfect for those with a little Reformer experience under their belt. We pick up the pace (just a bit), add in some weights, resistance bands, and a few sneaky props for that extra sizzle.

 

It’s dynamic, energising, and designed to make you feel strong, toned, and just a little bit smug. All the burn, all the buzz — minus the scary stuff.

  

If you have injuries or health issues which significantly affect your agility and balance please choose a beginners class.

Circuit : Fast Burn

The Perfect Balance of Strength, Cardio & Reformer Pilates!

 

More pace. More power. More pulse.

 

This one’s for when you want that heart-thumping, muscle-burning magic. Fast-paced Reformer circuits meet Pilates precision - think back-to-back combos and energising tunes, both on and off the Reformer. It’s sweaty, spicy, and seriously fun. 

 

You’ll move quicker, work harder, and leave stronger - all without losing the Balance focus on form and control.

 

Reformer Circuit Fast Burn classes are in Studio 2, Kildare Town.  Book your spot the usual way - just select our Kildare location and follow the steps.

Circuit : Slow Burn

Fewer moves, more reps, all the burn. This one’s all about that delicious shake — sculpting and spicy little burnouts that sneak up and stay. Expect slow, steady circuits that let you really sink into the work and fire up every muscle group with purpose.

 

It’s a full-body burner that dials up the intensity without speeding things up. No jumping, no chaos — just pure fire, delivered the Balance way: strong, smart, and seriously satisfying.
